おにぎり

I’ve been doing good recently with making my lunch and taking it to work.  I started doing this for two reasons:

1. When I was eating at home, I was eating junk that I could throw together in the short amount of time.  It wasn’t very healthy and started contributing to some issues I was having.

2. When I was eating at home, I started falling asleep.  I can’t afford to fall asleep on my lunch break and not make it back to teach a class.

So in an effort to avoid both of these things, I’ve tried really hard to change my habits.  I used to have all of my meals cooked for me (at my old job) so I’m not used to having to pack a lunch/cook something.  It feels strange.

I’ve been trying to change it up too, so I’m not always eating the same thing.  I made basil chicken pasta two weeks ago, and I would change up the veggies/side items so that it wasn’t like I was eating the same thing three days in a row, even though I was.  And I’ve been doing some stir fry and lots of good veggies.

Today, I decided to make rice balls for my lunch tomorrow.  I love tuna rice balls, so I just popped some rice into my rice ball shaper, mixed  up some tuna and mayo and popped it in.  They’re a little bigger than normal rice balls, but I can’t wait to eat them tomorrow!  ^^

Of course I put them into cute bags when I was finished with them.  I couldn’t resist.  ^^

Oh, and by the way, Happy October.  I had wanted to debut October with my new idea (I know, I keep talking about it, but you have no idea what it is, but I swear it’s coming!)  I’m waiting on a friend answering some questions and actually compiling the information into a story.  I’m looking at this weekend, as long as I don’t get busy.  We’ll see, but it is coming!  I have big plans… big, big plans.  I just have to get the first one done.

I hope this month is a good one for everyone.  Let’s do our best!
